15 injured in Jamrud heavy downpour
LANDIKOTAL: At least fifteen persons including two women and two children were injured in heavy downpour and flash floods in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency,local and hospital sources said on Friday.
Sajid Khan Kokikhel told The News on phone that seven persons were injured when veranda of a mosque caved-in due heavy rain in Cheenar Killey in Jamrud tehsil. While two other women and two children were injured as roofs of four mud-made houses collapsed due to heavy rain in Shah Kas area of Jamrud tehsil.The injured persons were rushed to Jamrud tehsil.Reports said that the number of injured persons might be increased as several other persons have been injured in flash floods in the far-flung area of Jamrud tehsil.Hospital sources in Jamrud said that they have received fifteen persons among which five persons were rushed to Peshawar due their serious health condition.
