Tribal parliamentarians open Bara Bazaar,roads







LANDIKOTAL: A day after the announcement made by Political Agent to lift curfew and open closed ways of Bara tehsil for eight hours in a day, the incumbent elected MNAs of Khyber Agency and Senator visited war affected areas of Bara and inaugurated opening of ways without having proper security.
Local tribesmen said newly elected MNA, Alhaj Shahji Gul of NA-46, Nasir Khan Afridi, NA 45 and Senator Haji Gul Afridi jointly visited several areas of Bara while locals were astonished to see MNAs in their hometowns. MNAs and Senator flanked by local leader of ANP, Imran Afridi, Naib Ameer of JI Khyber Agency, Shah Faisal Afridi, traders and maliks on the occasion.
Members of Parliament along with people after inauguration of shut ways went to Dogra check post from Bara and inquired the arrangements made for checking of local tribesmen on the post, Locals added. Talking to journalists, MNA Bara Nasir Khan Afridi said that lifting of curfew and opening closed ways was an appreciable development and it was a wonderful step towards peace and certainty in a war torn area.
He thanked President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Army Chief, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, crops Commander Peshawar, IG Frontier Constabulary and officials of paramilitary forces who awarded happiness to people of Bara before Eid ul Fitr by opening closed ways to Bara and lifted curfew. People of the area would be able to commemorate Eid ul Fitr in a peaceful environment in their ancestral hometowns after four years of duration, MNA remarked.
Such massive development would recreate business activities in Bara and steps are being taken to open Bara bazaar in coming days, Nasir stated. He reminded the days when local people even could not dare to enter to most of areas of Bara when there was uncertainty and war like condition. Newly elected MNA of NA-46, Alhaj Shahji Gul categorically said all the tribal parliamentarians were united for protecting rights of people and hectic efforts were continuing for the repatriation of tribesmen of Bara.
Senator Haji Khan Afridi claims that steps are being taken to ensure the safe repatriation of people of Tirah Valley and also made it clear they were well aware of the problems of masses of Bara.
It is worth mentioning here that in September, 2009 the curfew imposed was lifted when PA Khyber on the other day announced ending it and open ways in Bara tehsil.
