Security on high alert in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Security was put on high alert after the militants' attack on the FC checkpost in Landikotal, while seventeen persons have been arrested in search operation in Khugakhel area of Landikotal tehsil, official sources said.
The sources said that the security checkpost was attacked in Khugakhel area on Sunday night in which a FC man was injured.Security was beefed up in Landikotal and Torkham border amid the possible of other attacks in Landikotal. Meanwhile, Movement on the Torkham border was restricted on Sunday and no one was allowed to cross the border without valid travel documents,the sources said. The security forces also conducted search operation in Khugakhel area to chase the suspected persons and arrested 17 persons. The arrested persons were shifted to Landikotal lockup for investigation.
