Afghan envoy meets Pakistani border officials at Torkham

LANDIKOTAL: Accompanied by a delagation Afghan ambassador  to Pakistan Shukrullah Atif Mashal on Wednesday paid a brief visit to Pak-Afghan Torkham border and met with Pakistani civil and mimitary officials.



He examined the border management mechanism between the two countries, official sources said.


 Brigadier Imran, Commandant Khyber Rifles Landikotal, Farrukh Hamayun, and Afghan border security officials were also present on the occasion.

 The delegation checked the border mechanism at the Torkham border.


Talking ti Pakistani officials the Afghan ambassador demanded of the Pakistani authorities to provide special facilities for patients and women at Torkham border.


The delegation suggested increase in Federal Investigation Agency’s(FIA) staffers to avoid the passengers from facing inconvenience at the border.


The security officials assured the Afghan ambassador that they would take up their demands to the interior ministry.


the afghan envoy and his delegation was briefed about the whole passengers' checking system at Torkham border.He was told that the Pakistani government and border authorities were making more efforts to provide more facilities to the Afghan passengers coming to Pakistan.


Afghan ambassador Shukrullah thanked Pakistani officials and the government for welcoming to the Afghan citizens and said that Afghan nation and government were so thankful to the current Pakistani leadership who believe in true and friendly relationship with Afghanistan.
