KHYBER AGENCY: The Khyber agency
political agent Capt(r) Khalid Mehmood on Wednesday formally kicked off the domicile
certificates issuance drive in schools and handed over four hundred domiciles
to students in a state-run school in Landikotal.

Falahi Tanzeem Rokhana Sabaon welfare organization was organised at the
government High Schools Zeentara in Landikotal.
Apart from the students,elders and
parents a large number of students,assistant political agent of Landikotal Niaz
Muhammad, political tehsildar Shamsul Islam,Agency Education Officer Jadoon
Khan Wazir and passport officer Torkham Tehseenullah also attended the event.
The political agent of Khyber, Khalid
Mehmood was chief guest of the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, political
agent Khalid said they had taken a step to issue domicile certificates to all students in every
school. He said the aim of the provision of domiciles to student was not only
to facilitate students but it would also spare valuable time of the officials.
Khalid Mehmood said it would also
save students’ time and would help them to take admission in colleges in time.
"This will not only facilitate
students but would also spare much of their
time when they go through a tricky process of acquiring domicile certificates
for their children to take admission in colleges," Mehmood said.
He said they had started the drive from
Landikotal tehsil and would extend it to all other tehsils of Khyber Agency in
next week. Adding that after facilitating all the students of government schools
from grade-1 to grade-10 they would also
provide domiciles to students in private sector schools.
The official said in the first phase
they had issued two hundred domicile certificates in each the government high
school in Zeentara in Landikotal and government high school in Ghafoor Khan Killay
Landikotal tehsil.
He urged teachers and parents that
they should work as team to make possible
a favorite environment for students.
Addressing the gathering, AEO Jadoon
Khan Wazir said praised the step taken by the officials. He said it would
encourage parents to send their children
to colleges which was a lengthy and hard process to get domicile certificate.
He said it was came in the notice that many
students did not go to college level of education due to hard and fast rules
for acquiring domiciles in the past.
He said the drive would also provide
them a data about the Afghan children learning in the schools.
Malik Masal Khan Shinwari, Malik
Darya Khan Zakhakhel, Malik Hanif Shalmani also spoke on the occasion.
Later, political agent distributed
domicile certificates and cash prizes among the students.
