PTM,reconciliation committee held first round of talks in Khyber Agency

LANDIKOTAL: To peacefully resolve the Pashtoon Tahaffuz Movement’s genuine and constitutional demands a Jirga between PTM and reconciliation committee was held in Shah Kas area of Jamrud in Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

Manzoor Pashteen headed the PTM side while  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial minister Shah Farman led the reconciliation committee. First an open Jirga of PTM members and  44 reconciliation committee was arranged in which  Manzoor Pashteen,Ghazi Gulab Jamal, provincial minister Shah Farman,Ghalib Khan Wazir,MNA Bismillah Jan,doctor Abadullah,Muhsin Dawar,Malik Nasir Ahmad,former federal minster Malik Waris Khan Afridi and Shajee Gul Afridi discussed various aspects of the issues raised by PTM.

A score of other influential tribal elders and Maliks from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata were also present on the occasion.
In the second round a two-hour long meeting between the Manzoor Pashteen and reconciliation committee was also held.
Talking to a crowded news conference after the closed door meeting,member of the parliament Alhaj Shajee Gul Afridi,PTM minster  Shah Farman, Muhsin Dawar Dr Abadullah said that a reconciliation committee comprises of 44 members met with the PTM three members committee in Shah Kas. He said that after two hours long meeting between the parties the first round of the talks successfully completed.
Shajee Gul Afridi said that they reached to a conclusion that PTM demands were genuine and would be addressed soon. He said aim of the Jirga with PTM was to reach to the final solution of the demands placed by Manzoor Pashteen and other PTM leaders. He said a joint committee from both sides was also constituted to further negotiate on the issues raised for the Pashtoons people. He said they would also meet the high command of the Pakistan army after they reached to a mutual understanding so that they could help find solutions for the PTM demands.

Muhsin Dawar  said they would take two more days to talk to the other PTM leaders and on the third day they would meet again. He said PTM would also continue their peaceful public gatherings until their demands were not fulfilled.
