LANDIKOTAL:The child killed in a car ambush in Shalman |

LANDIKOTAL: Two persons, including a minor child,were killed
while ten others sustained bullet injuries in two different gun clashes in Landikotal
tehsil of Khyber Agency, official said on Monday.
Political tehsildar Landikotal Shamsul Islam told this scribe that
Shakir Shalmani opened indiscriminate firing on a car carrying Ikram Shalmani
and his family member in Prang Darra area of Loey Shalman,the far-flung Landikotal locality share border with Afghanistan. He said two
passengers, identified as Ikram and his eight-month-old son Ehtisham received multiple bullet injuries and died on the
spot.
While,wife of Ikram and his another son whose name could not be ascartained wounded in the firing. The
injured persons were rushed to agency Headquarters hospital in Landikotal. The
culprit was later arrested and sent him to Landikotal lock up.
In the second same kind of incident, eight persons including
three women and five men critically wounded when two rival groups exchanged
cross firing in Mirdadkhel village in Landikotal. Shamsul Islam said two rival
parties first exchange harsh words over the ownership of a piece of disputed
land and then opened firing on each other.
Those injured were identified as Taj Ali, Amir, three women,
Tamash,Bilal and Irfan. Bilal and two other injured persons were shifted to
hospitals in Peshawar due to their critical health condition. As the incidents
happened Khasadars and levies personnel reached to the sites and controlled the
situation. Five persons including the alleged killer were arrested and sent
them to Landikotal lock up.
