Afghan soldier handed over at Torkham border

TORKHAM: As goodwill gesture, Pakistan handed over the Afghan soldier who crossed the border in Kharlachi area of Kurram Agency few days ago.

The Frontier Corps(FC)commandant Col,Farrukh Humayun handed over the Afghan soldier to Afghan border officer Col, Qaseem at Torkham border. 
The Afghan National Amry(ANA) sepoy identified as Zabehullah had mistakenly crossed the Pak-Afghan border and entered Pakistan via Kharlachi border in Kurram Agency.
A score of Pakistani border officials,assistant political agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad,political tehsildar Torkham Shamsul Islam were present on the occasion. Col, Kurram also gave sweets to the released Afghan soldier and Gate commandar Col, Qaseem. 
Afghan officials thanked Pakistan and border officials for their respect for the Afghan soldier. Qaseem said Pakistan won hearts of all Afghan citizens by releasing the Afghan countryman. He said it would help strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.The family members of the released Afghan soldier also present at Torkham border.
