LANDIKOTAL: Five persons, including two security forces
personnel and three civilians, were killed in two different terrorism related
incidents in Khyber Agency, official sources said on Saturday.
The sources said that a Pakistan army Hawaldar and a Levies
soldier among four dead when unknown militants trigger off a remote controlled
bomb planted near a security forces check post in Midan area of Tirha in Khyber
Agency.
Those killed were identified as Hawaldar
Mehmood Shah (Pakistan army), Naik Bagh Mir(Khyber Levies) and local residents Qari
Afridi and Lal Jan Afridi.
As the incident took place
Pakistan army and levies forces personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off
the whole area. They collected evidences and started search operation in the
area. No militant group yet claimed responsibility of the killings.
Meanwhile, Shoaib Afridi,resident
of Jamrud, was on the way to home when motorcyclists intercepted him in Shah
Kas area and they opened indiscriminate firing on him. The man received
multiple bullets wounds and died on the spot. The assailants fled the scene after committing
the crime. Jamrud administration registered a case against unknown people and
started investigation.
