Tribal girls participation in sports is the sign of peace restoration in Fata:Officials

PESHAWAR:Little master Muskan receives medal as best archery player

PESHAWAR: Encouraging the little Archery master Muskan Afridi to participate in international Championships, Fata officials on Thursday said that it was the sign of peace restored in Fata that tribal girls are now participating in sports events to wave Pakistani flag in International sports games.

 Political Agent of Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood said this while speaking to a closing ceremony of Fifth National Archery Championship held in Peshawar. He said that it delighted him when he saw tribal women and girls participating in different games. He said Fata was rich of talent that had born dozens of Pakistani legends including Shahid Khan Afridi and Omar Gul and many more.
“I think not only Muskan’s parents but the whole tribal people and Pakistani citizens feel proud that they have little archery master from Fata”.said Khalid Mehmood while remarking Muskan talent in the newly introduced game in Fata.

Fata Olympic Association with the collaboration of Pakistan Archery Federation had organized the championship in which players from Punjab,Sindh,Baluchistan,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Fata, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Police, Pakistan Army,Wapda,Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan Participated.

Pakistan Army, Wapda and police stood first, second and third respectively in the championship.

Pakistan Olympic Association General Secretary Muhammad Khalid Mehmood,political agent of Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood, Ex-Minister Sports and Vice President Pakistan Olympic Association, Syed Aqeel Shah,Fata Olympic president Shahid Shinwari distributed trophies and prizes among the winning players and teams.
