Player from Landikotal to play Asian tournament in Korea

LANDIKOTAL: A martial art player from Khyber Agency and a Karaty official have been selected in the Pakistan team who will participate in the “16th Asian Full Contact Karate Tournament” scheduled in South Korea from September 1, Karate officials said.
Pakistan Full contact Karate Federation President Muhammad Arshad Jan told The News that they had organized selecting camp held in Peshawar in which a good number of Karate players from Pakistan participated. He said after a tough training camp they selected Ghani Khan Shinwari, resident of Landikotal, who will play as Pakistan’s Karate player.
 Jan said Farhad Shinwari,former Asian Karate Champion, was also qualified as Karate official.  Arshad Jan said it was pride for the whole Fata people who would portray soft image in such international event.
Fata martial art senior coach Farhad Shinwari said that Ghani Khan Shinwari would play as 80+weight category in Bosan Korea International tournament. He said they believe that Ghani khan will bring gold for Pakistan.
Farhad Shinwari appealed from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor, Khyber Agency Political agent and Directorate of Sports Fata to provide financial assistance to the selected player and coaches so that they could insure their participation in the International event.
