LANDIKOTAL: : Frontier Corps(FC)officials have said that the incident happened at Shaheed Mor sheckpost on August 17 was misunderstanding and inquiry was launched against the responsibiles.
A written statement here issued by FC official on Friday said the main reason behind the incident,when a heart patient lost his life while waiting to cross the checklost,was misunderstanding that took life of a local resident.
The statement said that they had resolved the issue through dialogues with victim's family.
It was said in the statement that they had to thoroughly check documents of passengers as Afghans without valid visas want to travel Pakistan via Torkham border.
FC officials in the statement said that they had initiated inquiry againt responsible cops and would reward punishement if any one found guilty.
It was said that local residents would be treated as other Pakistani citizens and would be provided with all kinds of communication facilities.
It is pertinent to mention here that a cardiac patient on 17th of August died while taking him to hospital when the vehicle was stopped at Shaheed Morr Check post.
