3 FC men hurt in Landikotal blast


LANDIKOTAL: Three Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers’ sustained injuries when their vehicle was targeted with a remote controlled bomb planted on a roadside in Khugakhel area of Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency, sources said on Monday.

The sources said that the Security Forces were on their routine patrolling around 12 am when their vehicle was targeted with remote controlled bomb. Soon after the incident, the security contingents along with bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) rushed to the site and cordoned off the whole area. The injured security personnel were rescued from the van and shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH).Shalman-Landikotal road was kept closed during the rescue and clearance which was reopened after an hour. The security forces also collected pieces of evidences for investigation. The injured FC personnel were identified as Hawaldar Anees, Sepoy Jamraz.
