Two narcotics peddlers sentenced 10 year jail


LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber Agency political agent and district magistrate Shahab Ali Shah Monday announced 10 year imprisonment to two persons who had been arrested after recovering a huge quantity of narcotics from their passions in Khyber Agency, sources said.


On the recommendations of local jirga, the sources said, PA Khyber Shahab Ali Shah gave verdict and awareded 10 year imprisonment and 0.5 million fine to Israf son of Selab Shah Kokikhel and Faolad son of Aqil Baz, an Afghan national. The mentioned two persons had been arrested after the security forces had recovered a huge quantity of narcotics from their possessions in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency. PA also fined Raees Khan, another Afghan national, of Rs fifty thousand while released Sher Bahadar, Afghan national, after producing no proofs against him. The arrested persons would pass two years extra in jail if they failed to pay the fine, official sources said.
