Girls college blown up in Jamrud

LANDIKOTAL: Unknown militants blown up a government-run girls’ degree college in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency,however, no casualty was reported in the blast, officials said on Wednesday night.

Assistant political agent, Bakhtyar Mohmand told this correspondent on phone that miscreants had planted an explosive device with the college building which went off at 9 pm. As a result, boundarywall of the college was damaged, however, no human loses were suffered.

“As the blast occurred the security forces and local administration officials went to the site and corrodened off the area and collected the evidences,” APA said. He said that several of the suspected persons were arrested and shifted to Jamrud lock up for investigation. It was 79 government-run educational institution destroyed in Khyber Agency in the ongoing militancy.
