FDA provides vocational trainings to 10,000 tribal women

LANDIKOTAL: Fata Development Authority (FDA) chief executive, Arbab Shah Rukh Khan, has said that they have provided vocational trainings to the 30,000 tribal youth including 10,000 women.

A large number of tribal journalists headed by the Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) president, Safdar Hayat Khan Dawar and General Secretary Akmal Khan Qadri met Fata Development authority chief executive at his office on Thursday.

FDA chief executive welcomed the newly elected TUJ cabinet and urged that they will work side by side with the government to restore peace and development in Fata.

While briefing the tribal journalists, FDA chief executive Arbab Shah Rukh Khan, said that so for they with the help of Pakistan Army completed billions of rupees projects in Fata. He said that Rs, 3 billion have been allocated for projects in Fata which would be spent on the fourteen different development projects in Fata.
“It was the prime priority of the FDA to initiate maximum projects in Fata to fight against extreme poverty”, he vowed.

He said that likewise in electricity problem in Pakistan they have introduced solar energy system in Fata to cope the load shading problem, he said.

FAD chief executive Arbab Shah Rukh Khan, said that they have sanctioned full-fledged solar energy system to each Fata press clubs and hospitals which would be provide soon.


“Women were considered the useless organ of the Fata society as they have specially facilitated 10,000 women trainings to bring a positive change, he claimed. Despite law and order situation in Fata two dams have been completed in Waziristan agency while Bara dam would be completed in next two years costing 23 billion, he said.

He said that for the first time they are launching first Fata Township in where not only tribal journalist but other tribal people would be benefited. Adding, surveys were also underway to and feasibility reports were prepared for several mega projects. He said they will also encourage donors and businessmen to work on the minerals mines in Fata where thousands of jobless tribal youth get their jobs.
