LANDIKOTAL: Four people were injured in a blast in Landikotal Mobile market while militants blown up a government-run school in Bazaar Zakhakhel, tribal and official sources said late Tuesday night.
The sources said that unknown people had planted a time bomb in a market which went off around 7 PM. Seven people were injured in the blast and were rushed to Landikotal hospital. Several mobile phones
and hair dressers' shops were damaged in the blast, sources said.
The health conditions of the injured persons were stated stable, hospital sources said.
The those injured in the blast were identified as Hunar Khan, Gul Muhammad, Sher Khan, Bismillah and Wali Khan, residents of Bajaur Agency and Afghan nationals Ganderai and Hikmat Khan.
Meanwhile, militants blown up the government high school for boys in Malik Nadir Shah Killay Bazaar Zakhakhel area in Landikotal tehsil, official sources said,however, no casualty was reported. It may be
added here that the same school was in militants' control for five years recently released by the security forces from them, local sources said.
