Two kidnappers killed in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL: Two alleged kidnappers were killed in exchange of fire when security forces raided a house in Chapari area of Jamrud subdivision in Khyber agency, local and official sources said on Thursday.

The sources said that the security forces personnel late Wednesday night raided on the house of alleged kidnapper,Hamid Gul, in Chapari village in Jamrud. The kidnappers opened fire on the security forces. Cross fire between the security forces and the kidnappers was continued for some time, sources said.As a result,two kidnappers, identified as Hayat Mir Kukikhel and Aamir Shinwari died on the spot while two others, Lal Shah and Ziarat Shah, were arrested on the spot.However, security forces released the kidnapped businessman, sources said. The alleged kidnappers had abducted a well-known business man, Saddiqullah, resident of Dara Adamkhel for ransom which they were demanding rupees (5 crors) as ransom money,  the sources said. The arrested persons were sent to Jamrud lock up. meanwhile, militants blown up a link road bridge Hisara Khuwar with explosives in Bara tehsil in Khyber agency, however, no casualty was reported.
It may be added here that on the complaints from the families of the kidnapped persons Khyber agency administration and security forces have started crack down in Jamrud this week.
