Three oil packed containers seized at Torkham border

LANDIKOTAL: The  Torkham border authorities foiled an attempt to supply fuel to Afghanistan and seized three containers  which were loaded with thousands of litres diesel,border sources said on Wednesday. 

The sources said that three containers' trucks 536-TLP, 336-TLP and 436-TLS were trying to supply diesel into Afghanistan were stopped at Torkham border and recovered thousands litres of diesel from it. The oil was packed in balers(tins). A custom official on the condition of anonymity told The News that fake documents of medicines were made for the containers. Authorities also arrested six crew members of the containers' trucks and sent them to Landikotal lock up, the sources said. Meanwhile, one of the containers which was returning from the Torkham to Landikotal lockup over turned on the way and all the oil spill out of it, the sources said.
