One of the staffers of The News, Imran, was robbed of his mobile phone on a passenger van on his way to the office on Tuesday. According to Imran, two armed men boarded the Illyas Coach at Korangi Crossing and held the passengers hostage at gunpoint. They warned the passengers not to resist them or else they would not hesitate in opening fire on them. Seeing the robber , one of the passengers felt so horrified that she lost her consciousness. Later, the men decamped with over a dozen mobile phones.
