LANDIKOTAL: Dozens of Awami Jirga, a group of social activists and local residents staged a protest against the health officials who allegedly failed to to take timely actions and stop leishmania epidamic in Landikotal.

Led by Maulana Attuquuulah Shinwari and other residents marched in Landikotal bazaar and chanted slogans agsinst the failure of health officials.
They were also holding placards inscribed with the slogans to control the leishmania that suffered hundreds of children in the past few months.
Shakir Shinwari and Amir Afridi said that health officials in Landikotal and health directorate were not serious to take their serious action and eliminate the leishmaniases from the area.
They said more than two thousands of children from the poor families bitten by leishmanaia.Adding that due to unavsilability of precaucionary measures and required medicines the desease changed into epidamic in Landikotal.

Maulana Attiqullah,a nominated candidate by Jameat Ulema Islam Samiulhaq group for NA-43 donated Rs,0.2 million for leishmania to provide free medicines to the patients. He said the number of leishmania patients were gradually imcreasing day by day. He said a large number of parents met him who were worried for their children as they had no idea to protect their children.
