Amn committee commander among two killed in Khyber Agency

LANDIKOTAL: At least two persons,including a Qambarkhel peace committee commander were killed and six others injured in a clash with LI volunteers and in a bomb blast in two different incidents of Khyber Agency,official and local sources said on Friday.

The sources said that a gun clash erupted between Qambarkhel Amarbel Maroof Amn committee and Lashkar-e-Islam in Mehraban Killay area of Tirah valley.  A Qambarkhel tribe commander,identified as Ahmad Khan was killed while four of his others gunmen injured in the clash. Qambarkhel Amn committee apprehend two injured LI volunteers and shifted them to other area.While on the other hand, LI gunmen also took away four Qambarkhel peace committee volunteers alive and shifted them to LI  stronghold in Tirah valley,sources said.

Meanwhile,Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-e-Islam(LI)volunteers were on their way in Yousuf Talab area of Sepah when their vehicle was targeted with a remote controlled roadside bomb blast.A volunteer of Lashkar-e-Islam was killed and two others sustained wounds in the blast. As the blast occurred,the sources said,dozens of other LI gunmen rushed to the site and took the whole area into their control.The LI volunteers retrieved the the dead body and their injured accompanied from the destroyed vehicle and shifted them to unknown location.

Similarly, Landikotal administration and the security forces personnel jointly conducted a search and clearance operation in different Loey Shalman border areas,sources said.Three roadside bombs and six mortar shells were recovered and defused.
The security forces officials said that the bombs were planted on the road to target the innocent people travelling on the road in Loey Shalman,the far-frlung bordering area of Landikotal tehsil.

Narcotics recovered: Khasadar and Levies forces raided shops in Ashraf market in Shahkas area of Jamrud tehsil and recovered 44 kilograms of Hashish and 28 kilograms opium.However,no arrested was made on the spot,sources said
