Car lifters busted in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: The Landikotal Political Administration have arrested  two members of car lifters' group and recovered two cars from their possession,officials said on Thursday.
Assistant Political Agent(APA) Landikotal Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah told The News that they had received informations that a group of carlifters had stolen a 2-OD(BC-7496) car from Torkham taxi stand and wanted to shift it to Peshawar.He said they took timely action and barricaded all the entry and exists of Landikotal where the Khasadar force personnel started checking.
Taking hide from Khasadars chasing, the car lifters had brought the stolen car inside the Agency Headquarters hospital,the official said.He said two car lifters,identified as Abdur Rauf and Nek Wali,residents of  Bara and Jamrud tehsils respectively were busted when they were changing number plates and wheels of the stolen car with another of their car inside an under constructed building of AHQ hospital.
The official said another car(AST-265) used in the crime by the gang was also recovered from their possession and shifted to Landikotal administration offices.He said interrogation had been started from the arrested persons.
APA Landikotal had issued strict instructions to the Khasadar and levies forces to keep close watch on the vehicles travelling  Pak-Afghan highway to avoid any unpleasant incident.
