LANDIKOTAL: Assistant political agent Landikotal,Tayyab Abdullah, constituted a committe of elders,NCHD officials and media persons to bring awareness and insure hundred percent enrollment in the government-run schools in Landikotal tehsil.
A meeting was held in this connection in Landikotal on Thursday which was attended by assistant political agent Landikotal,Tayyab Abdullah, National Commission for Human Development(NCHD) Khyber Agency program manager, Ijaz Khan,local elders and media persons. Following the governor KPK vision to promote quality of education in Fata the APA Landikotal urged the meeting to work hard for the provision of education for all.He stressed to insure hundred percent enrollment in the government-run schools. APA said drop-out rate in the government-run schools has been exceeding every year due to lack of facilities in the schools and poor interest of parents.Tayyab issued strict directives to the concern staff members to make sure their possible efforts for the better education environment in the schools.A committe,headed by APA Landikotal, of local elders,NCHD officials and local journalists including Ashrafuddin Pirzada was also constituted.Talking to this scribe Tayyab Abdullah said the committee was tasked to bring awareness and motivate the local people to send their children to schools.He said the committee would work with the schools' staff and would chalk out a long lasting plan for the better educational system in Landikotal.
NCHD official Ijaz Khan said his organization would coordinate with the Landikotal administration and education staff.He said NCHD would arrange awareness sessions and trainings both for parents and teachers to attract children to government-run schools.
