LANDIKOTAL: Unknown people late Saturday night blew up an other government-run girls' high school in Ghundi area of Jamrud tehsil in Khyber agency, three heirs of the watchman were also injured in the explosion ,local and education officials said on Sunday.
Hashim Khan Afridi, the agency education officer(AEO), told The News that unknown people had planted an explosive device with the government-run girls' high school in Malik Khan Wali Killay which went off at 1:30 pm.As a results of the explosion, he said, four class-rooms and a veranda in the school were completely destroyed while the rest of the class-rooms and other structure received partially damages The Watchman of the school, Baz Muhammad Sikandarkhel, said that he was standing at the main gate of the school when around 1:30 pm he heard a huge explosion followed by smoke and dust. He said that his home, situated inside the school's compound, was also damaged in the blast in which his three sons also slightly injured.The number of destroyed school have climbed to 61 in Khyber agency, Hashim Khan said.
