Minority MPA distributes Eidee among Muslim journalists

Ashrafuddin Pirzada LANDIKOTAL: Minority member of parliament set a precident and distributed Eidee among journalists in Landikotal and Jamrud subdivisions of tribal district Khyber on Sunday. Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly and renowened social worker and human rights activist Wilson Wazir visited Landikotal and Jamrud press clubs and handed over rupees 1,50000 to the cabinets members. General secretary of Landikotal press club Hazrat Umar Shinwari and president of Jamrud press club Sajid Ali Kokikhel received the cash amount from Wilson Wazir. Journalists thanked him for his financial support. Talking to journalists MPA Wilson Wazir said that he born and raised in district Khyber and has deep rooted attachments with its people. He said beyond that he is Christian and from minority but locals always loved and respected him.
"I am proud to be a tribal christian and a loving Pakistani",Wilson expressed,adding that he not only worked for his minorities but he did his best to facilitate Muslims citizens in the country. He said it was a moment of pride and satisfiction for him that he from his own salary as MPA assisted journalists of Landikotal and Jamrud sub-divisions. Wilson Wazir,born in Landikotal and received masters in Chemistry and worked as teacher at various institutions in Landikotal. He later started his social working and raised voice for the minorities rights living in district Khyber. He provided them domiciles for the first time,rebuilt churches,built christians colony in Landikotal and established vocational centres for Muslim and Christian women in the past few years. Presendent of Pakistan in the light of social working awarded Wilson Wazir Sitara-e-imtiaz(the presidential award) in 2015. He is currently serving as minority MPA in the current PTI led government in the Khyber Pakhunkhwa.
