Minister inaugurates Landikotal bazaar electricity feeder

LANDIKOTAL: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Doctor Noorul Haq Qadri on Sunday said that he restored the electricity supply to Landikotal bazaar which was the long awaited demand of traders and shopkeepers in Landikotal bazaar.
The federal minister was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of new electricity feeder installed in Landikotal grid station. He said they installed 26MVA transformeter and feeder were installed so that uninterrupted electricity could be provided to Landikotal bazaar.
Qadri said it business community in Landikotal bazaar were demanding the restoration of electricity supply to the Landikotal bazaar which was restored after six years. He said due to various reasons Wapda had disconnected electricity supply line more than six years ago. He added that since then traders in the bazaar were using their private generators to produce electricity to keep running their daily businesses.
The federal minister said 110 million rupees were the total budget allocated for the new electricity feeder installed in Landikotal grid station. He added that work on the fifteen other electricitity transformers and a four kilometers long electricity line and poles have also completed. He said the newly installed electricity transformers would provide electricity to the far flung Landikotal areas.
Qadri said an amount of 40.5 million rupees were also allocated for a separate grid stations in Loey Shalman,Kam Shalman,Bazar Zakhakhel areas . He said a special electricity supply line was also approved to provide maximum hours of electricity to the marble industries in Jamrud and Mulagori Marble factories.
To a question, federal minister dr Noorulhaq Qadri said Saudi government yet not gave them green signal to facilitate Pakistanis to go for Hajj.He said when they get permission from the Saudi Arabia they would work on the emergency basis to facilitate miximum numbers of pilgrimers to perform Hajj this year.
