Suspects in cop killing busted in Khyber

Ashrafuddin Pirzada LANDIKOTAL: Khyber police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested the alleged killer of addtional station house officer and apprehended a vehicle used the the crime, police official said. District Police Officer Wasim Riaz told The News that within 24 hours after the Jamrud addtional SHO martyred in an encounter they arrested one accused. He said a Suzuki carry van used in the crime was also recovered from the possession of the arrested person. He said teams have been constituted to investigate the whole case and reach to hands behind the heinous crime. Wasim said the accused person identified as Samiullah was under interrogation and would soon arrest the rest of the nominated persons.He said police in Khyber district had been issued strict directives to sum up the case in minimum time. Three days ago a Jamrud police station house officer Niaz Muhammad was martyred while two other policemen sustained wounds in an encounter took place between police party and smugglers in Ali Masjid locality in district Khyber.
