IG-KP visits police check posts in Khyber

By Ashrafuddin Pirzada LANDIKOTAL: Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sanaullah Abbasi along other senior police officials Saturday night visited Jamrud and Torkham where they inspected police lock ups and inquired from its inmates,sources said on Sunday. Capital City police chief Abbas Ahsan SSP operation Yasir Afridi also accompanied the IGP. Sanaullah Abbasi also went to the last check post Michni check post located near the Pak-Afghan border Torkham. He was briefed about the over all border situation. IGP also visited various other police check posts and police stations in Jamrud,Landikotal,Hayatabad and Gulburg in Peshawar.He checked closed Circut Television cameras installed in police stations.The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police officer also met with police jawans posted along the border check posts and inquired about their problems. Sanaullah Abbasi talked with jail inmates and asked them their problems and facilities in the jails. The inspector general of police Sanaullah Abbas on the occasion said that it was their prime duty to protect citizens' life at any cost. He said police would not let any stone unturned to provide best possible security in the district. It was the first provincial police cheif several times visited tribal district Khyber in the past few months.
