Walk against narcotics held in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Local administration in collaboration with civil society arranged a walk against narcotics in which a score of people including journalists on Wednesday.
Assistant commissioner of Landikotal Muhammad Imran Khan led the walk started from district headquarters hospital and gathered outside Landikotal press club. Landikotal tehsildar Asmatullah Wazir, Line Officer Tika Khan Afridi, shopkeepers, PTI youths, civil society members and journalists participated in the walk. They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against all types of narcotics.
Speaking on the occasion, assistant commissioner Muhammad Imran Khan said narcotics not destroy a life of a single drug addict but it put negative effects on the lives of rest of his family. He said deal in narcotics was a heinous crime and would the law not tolerate to spare anyone involved. He urged the residents and local journalists to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to fight Jehad against all kinds of social evils. He said they were soon conducting a seminar on narcotics in Landikotal so that they could spread awareness among the youth.
