Officials discussed Torkham border issues

TORKHAM BORDER: The Pakistani border authorities held meeting with National Logistic Cell(NLC)official and discussed various Torkham border related issues,officials said on Friday.

Political tehsildar Shamsul Islam told The News that civil administeration officials led assistsnt political agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad met with Frontier Crops and NLC officials. He they discussed movement at Torkham border. Shams said the meeting agreed to devise a plan to reduce the traffic jam at Torkham border. The question was raised that NLC use two weighing scals located near the border causing traffic jam.  It was also sugested that to run a private weighing scale to avoid vehicular traffic jam.
Meanwhile, APA Niaz Muhammad and tehsildar Shamsul Islam issued strict directives to pakistani officials to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate passengers coming from Afghanistsn.
