Narcotics seized at Torkham border


LANDIKOTAL:Khasadars at Torkham border foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from Afghanistan and arrested a peddeler,sources said on Thursday.

Khasadar official Rohul Amin and commander Shakeel Afridi told The News that an empty truck (8497-KBL) was stopped at Torkham border as it entered from Afghanistan. They said during search they recovered nine kilograms of fine quality of heroin from its hidden cavities.
The driver,identified as Hamid Khan resident of Ningrahar Afghanistan was arrested and sent him to Landikotal lock up. Landikotal administration officials praised the Khasadars deployed on the border said that several narcotics smuggling bids were foiled in the last few weeks.
