Christian women graduated from Landikotal skills training centre

APA Niaz give away sewing machine to a christian woman

KHYBER AGENCY(FATA): Fata Developmen Authority(FDA)on Saturday distributed cash and sewing machines among forty Christian and Muslim women who completed a six-month training course in a skills training centre in Landikotal.

A ceremony was arranged in the lone Girl's Higher Secondary school in Landikotal which was attended by Fata secretariat officials,Assistant Political Agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad,tehsildar Irshad Ali Mohmand and local elders. 

Speaking on the occasion, APA Niaz said it was a good initiative by the Fata secretariat that established a women skills centre in Landikotal.He said It would further promote peace and will play a significant role  towards women empowerment in Landikotal. He said it gave a message of religious harmony to the world that not only Muslim women but a good number of christian girls were also benefiting from the center.He gave Rs,50,000 for the centre.

Agency coordinator for Fata Development Authority,Tufail Khan, said that the centre was established two years ago. He said so far 1,200 women belonged to Landikotal have completed their different skills training courses in several phases. 
Niaz Muhammad and Tufail distributed Rs,5,000 each cash,sewing machines and certificates among the forty women graduates.

Minority social worker and head of the skills centre Wilson Masih thanked Fata secretariat and local administration officials for their moral and economical support.
