3 Amn Lashkar volunteers killed in Landikotal ambush

LANDIKOTAL:  Three peace committee members were killed while two others wounded when gunmen opened fire on a vehicle in Brag area of Bazaar Zakhakhel in Landikotal on Tuesday night,local sources said.
The sources said that few gunmen around 7pm, ambushed a vehicle of Zakhakhel Amn committee in Brag locality of Zakhakhel when they were on in their routine patrol. As a results, three peace committee members identified as Qadeer Khan Afridi,Badar Nawab Afridi and  Hukamran Khan Afridi died on the spot while two others sustained bullet injuries. The injured volunteers were shifted hospitals in Prshawar,sources said.
Salamat Khan Afridi,a Zakhakhel resident told The News by phone that as the Amn committee vehicle was attacked dozens of other volunteers rushed to the site and cordoned off the whole locality. He said that those who did the crime were besieged while firing was contnued between them.

However,Zakhakhel committee and independent sources not confirmed the hands behind the attack.
Firing was continued between the gunmen and peace committee members till filing to this report.
Meanwhile, the security forces during search and clearance operaration recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition form a compound near Bagyari area in Jamrud tehsil in Khyber Agency.One suspect,whose name was not disclosed was arrested and shifted to unknown location for interrogation,the sources said.
