Another child dies of polio drops in Khyber agency

FATA: An other child died in the last two days with the same symptoms who had been administered oral polio drops in Sultankhel village of Landikotal tehsil in Khyber agency,sources said on Wednesday.

Family sources said that six-month-old Abdul Wadood had been administered polio drops on December 22. They said that the boy's health remained unstable after being administered him polio drops six days back.

It may be added here that it was the second incident in Landikotal while the fourth one in Khyber agency,one of the tribal region in Federally Administered Tribal Areas(FATA) happened in the last one week,all with the same symptoms reported to media.

Doctors and polio officials in Khyber agency have rejected the allegations and said that the children's deaths not occurred of polio drops.They said that the children might have died  of other complications prevailed in their bodies.
