Top Khyber administrator heard cases in open court session held in Landikotal.

Ten prisoners released on the spot 

 

LANDIKOTAL: Khyber Agency Political Agent on Thursday arranged a six hours long open court session(Koli Kachehri) in Landikotal and heard more then two hundreds cases.

Hundreds of elders and youth of Shinwari,Afridi and Shalmani tribes were present at the open court session held at the Landikotal administration compound.Sayed Shahab Ali Shah heard the grievances and he issued orders on many genuine cases on the spot.

On the requests of local elders PA Khyber released ten persons from Landikotal lock up who had been apprehended in minor charges. Shahab urged the local people and mediamen that they should play their due role to help create healthy environment in the area.

"It is the moral duty of all citizens to cooperate the Law enforcing agencies so that developmental projects could be initiated in Landikotal", Shahab maintained. 

The senior  Khyber agency officials said  jirga system was an important component of tribal setup which would be strengthened. 

Responding to the public complaints, PA said construction work on Peshawar-Landikotal highway was ninety percent completed.He said the rest of the work between Landikotal and Torkham road  would be completed till June this year.
The official said the officials of Frontier Works Organization(FWO) have promised him to expedite the construction work on Peshawar-Torkham highway would be complete as soon as possible.
Shahab Ali Shah assured the Landikotal based journalists that work on the long awaited Landikotal press club would be started in May next month.
PA Khyber said that an International standard taxi stand would be constructed in Landikotal bazaar to resolve the vehicles parking
problem being faced by the people. Local elders,political parties leaders and business community members lauded PA Khyber for arranging open session court.Malik Khan,Shakir Afridi,Haji Wakil Shalmani,PTI leader Khurshid Khan Afridi and centeral JI leader Zarnoor Afridi thanked the official said that it would help promote peace and harmony in the society.

Later,PA Khyber held a meetings with all heads of government departments including health,sanitation,food and education.He issued strict directives to heads of departments to insure hundred percent attendance and best possible services to the public.
