Military operation Khyber-II would end soon:PA

LANDIKOTAL:A Khyber Agency administrator has said soon they would end the Khyber-II operation as they have cleared most of the areas in Khyber agency including Tirah valley from all kind of militants.

The Khyber Agency political Agent Sayed Shahab Ali Shah was talking to reporters at Landikotal press club on Wednesday said that people have started their peaceful life after they launched Khyber-I and Khyber-II
military operation in Bara and Tirah valley. He said a large number of militants either killed,arrested and most of them skipped to Afghanistan who would be chased soon.He said that it was just because of the military operation that thousands of IDPs have already returned to their hometowns in Tirah and Bara areas during the last few months.
"It is the foremost duty of both the citizens and the law enforcing agencies to maintain law and order situation in the area so that development projects could be initiated", Shahab maintained. Adding that every resource could be utilized to bring back the durable peace the Khyber Agency residents had some ten years ago.
PA said that construction work on Peshawar-Landikotal highway was ninety percent completed while the rest between Landikotal and Torkham would be completed till June this year.
Regarding the public complaints on the slow pace on the Peshawar-Torkham highway the official said that Frontier Works Organization(FWO) officials have promised him to expedite the work to
complete as soon as possible.
Shahab Ali Shah assured the Landikotal based journalists that within few days construction work on the long awaited Landikotal press club would get started.
He said he had directed the Landikotal administration to focus on the cleanness and price control in the Landikotal bazaar.
PA Khyber said that an International standard taxi stand would be constructed in Landikotal bazaar to resolve the vehicles parking problem being faced by the people.
