Karate camp organized for Japan championship

LANDIKOTAL: Pakistan's Martial Art president Arshad Jan has said that Fata was full of talent and can compete in the international sports events if they were provided proper trainings and other grooming facilities.
Arshad Jan was talking to reporters here at the opening ceremony of a Karate training camp started in Landikotal on Tuesday.He said that they proud on the tribal players like Shahid Khan Afridi,Hayat Nazir and Farhad Shinwari who played in international sports events and won medals for their motherland.
Arshad Jan thanked Farhad Shinwari, former Karate Asian Champion and international Karate coach for his hectic efforts who left no stone unturned for the promotion of Karate sports in the backward areas of Fata.
 
The Karate official urged the players and organizers of the tournament to promote their good values in their students. He said sport was the useful tool which convert youth from bad to good society. He said all social evils could be defeated if sportsmen use their talent for their motherland.
Arshad Jan,who came from Lahore for the inaugural ceremony, appealed from the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Chief Secretary Fata and political Agent of Khyber Agency to for their social and financial assistance for the Karate promotion in the tribal areas.
It may be added here that a week long training camp was organized in Landikotal where players would be selected for the champion being played in Japan in March.
