138th Qaid-e-Azam day celebrated in Landikotal with national zeal
LANDIKOTAL: Like the other parts of the country,138th birth day of Baba-e-Qum was with great national zeal here on Thursday.
A colorful ceremony was organized at the Political Administration office lawn where a large number of local elders,officials and members of civil society participated.
Participants in their speeches termed Qaid-e-Azam is the leader of 19th century.Assistant Political Agent of Landikotal(APA) Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah,who was the chief guest on the occasion lauded the sacrifices Fata people rendered for the creation of Pakistan.He said tribesmen had always defended Pakistan's boundaries and repulsed all attacks carried from outside.
Malik Darya Khan Afridi, Malik Abdur Razzaq Afridi, Malik Tajuddin Shinwari,Malik Nadeem Afridi and Malik Pervez Shinwari also addressed the Yaum-e-Qaid Azam.
They said that tribal people always foiled the conspiracies against Pakistan's solidarity and integrity. They asked that the government should compensat those tribesmen who suffered life and property loses during the ongoing war against terrorism and would always offer their services for the defense of Pakistan.
Meanwhile,Christian community members also celebrated Christmas day in Landikotal Army garrison.Christian leader and minority social workers offered special prayers for the unity and solidarity of Pakistan.
Christian community Chairman Arshad Masih and Wilson Wazir urged the minority members to work hard for the development of Pakistan.They pledged that minorities were with the Pakistan army in the war against terrorism.They thanked the local administration officials and the Pakistan army for their cordial support with the Christians in Landikotal.
