Mangal Bagh spokesman surrendered to security forces

KHYBER AGENCY: Lashkar-e-Islam(LI) top ranking commander and Mangal Bagh spokesman Saiful Islam Saif along with dozens other LI volunteers surrendered before the security forces,official and local sources said on Monday.

The sources said that Mangal Bagh spokesman,two other commanders and their volunteers had contacted local jirga few days ago and pledged to bow down before the security forces.

On Monday morning,the sources said,LI spokesman Saiful Islam Saif,commander Ilyas Afridi and commander Wajid Afridi lay down their weapons and accepted writ of the government.A large numbers of other LI gunmen also surrendered to the government.

It may be added here that Dozens of other LI volunteers have so far surrendered and lay down their weapons before the government.However,it could not be verified from LI sources due to poor communication in Tirah valley.
