TORKHAM BORDER:
Khasadar force personnel at Torkham border claimed to have foiled a
heroin smuggling bid from Afghanistan and arrested the drug peddler,
sources said on Thursday.
Khasadar force official Ayaz Khan told The News that an Afghan national identified as Said Nazir was stopped at Torkham border and recovered three kilograms of heroin from his possession. He said that the heroin was concealed in a ghee tin which was being smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan. The drug peddler was arrested and shifted to Landikotal lock up, the sources said.
