WFP distributes food packages among 27644 Fata people

FATA: World Food Program(WAP) distributed food packages among 27643 deserving persons in Khyber,Mohmand and Bajaur tribal Agencies of Fata, WPF official said. 
 Kiramat Khan, social organizer, told This correspondent that WFP with the collaboration of Hujra Organization had launched a program "Food for Work" which would continue till 2015. He said in the first phase they distributed food items among 27,643 tribal people who vulunteerly worked at their villages. He said that they gave away a package of 80 kilogram flour(Atta),4 litres cooking oil and one kilogram salt in each person as reward to promote livelihood culture in Fata. Kiramat said they had hired 9755 volunteers in Mohmand Agency,11933 in Bajaur Agency and 5955 in Khyber Agency who worked four hours a day for 12 days and rehabilitated their walking tracks,street pavements, removed wastages from the front of their home and clean the drains. Kiramat said the program was initiated with the aim of restoration of Livelihood sector suffered in the decade long militancy in Fata.He official said pilot projects were started in the militancy affected areas of Mohmand,Bajaur and Khyber agencies to realive the livelihood sector.
