PA Khyber distributed cheques among poor patients

LANDIKOTAL: Khyber Agency Political Agent Mutahir Zeb Tuesday distributed cheques worth Rs0.45 million among people suffering from serious ailments.
The cheque distribution ceremony was held at the political agent office on   where 20 patients were given the financial assistance. 
 
 Talking to this correspondent on the occasion, the political ageny, Mutahir Zeb, said that they had initiated special funds system of "Atlas Khyber endowment funds" for the deserving patients who could not afford to pay for their medical treatment. PA said they release a handsome amount to the patients every three months, adding and so far they have distributed 20 million rupees during the last two years. He asked the Khyber agency people to verify and send poor patients to his office for every possible financial help.
 
Mutahir Zeb said that they had received dozens of applications for financial help in the last three months in which they selected twenty deserving patients after thorough verification from the three tehsils of Khyber agency.  He said they have opened a reporting room for the patients at Khyber Houses Peshawar where other dozens of other cases were also underway for verification..He said that they released Rs, 4.5 million from "Atlas Khyber endowment funds" this month for the twenty patients as per their serious health condition. 
PA Khyber said that 20 patients of cancer, heart, Kidney and hepatitis were selected from Landikotal,Jamrud and Bara tehsils of Khyber Agency after through verification who received cheques” PA said.   
 
"The selected patients were verified and found in critical health condition and already admitted in the different  hospitals of Peshawar for surgeries" ,said Mutahir Zeb.Adding and he was committed to continue the fund as through it many precious lives were saved from the lethal diseases.
 
 Muhammad Shafi, resident of Landikal, told this scribe that his 26-year old son Zaifullah was suffering from Kidney problem and admitted in hospital for proper medical care. He thanked Mutahir Zeb for such financial help. Another patient Rahatullah, who was suffering from cancer, said that now he would be able to take proper treatment from Shaokat Khanam hospital as he received a cheque of enough amount.
