Gunmen killed four truck drivers carrying Nato consignments

FATA: At least four crew members of three trailers were killed andthe truck were burnt to ashes when at least twenty militants attacked them with rocket launchers in Shagai area of Jamrud tehsil in Khyber Agency,official sources said on Monday.
"At least twenty militants who were well-euiped ambushed three trailers trucks carrying Nato consignments from Kabul to Karachi",an official pleading anonymity told this scribe on phone. He said  that three trailers(ALL-708,JA-1203 and TLV-737) were on way to Peshawar carrying armoured vehicles and ambulance to Karachi when militants fired them with rocket launchers and automatic guns. Four persons in the three trailers were killed on the spot while one of the trailer and the armoured vehicle over it completely burnt while the rest of two trucks received burnt damages,the sources said.The gunmen came on foot to the road side in Shagain mountainous area and fled the scene after the attack,sources confirmed.  The Pak-Afgan highway was closed at least two hours to clear the road. Later, the frontier crops and Khasadar personnel led houses search operation in Lala Cheena area but no arrest was made on the spot, APA Jamrud said that 25 housesholds  were searched out  near to incident site,however no suspicious person was found inside the homes.The deceased truckers  were identified as Tika Khan son Khanzada,Wajid son of Aziz and Irfan son of Mira Jan,residents of Zakhakhel Landikotal and Yar Alam son Muhammad Alam an Afghan national..A week before gunmen had killed two drivers of the Nato carriage at the same location .Newly emerged militants group Jashe Osama spokesman Abu Hamza called to local reporters from unknown location and   claimed the responsibility of the attack. ofattack Officials also confirmed the Jeshe Osama claim.
