Drivers disappeared left five loaded containers at Torkham border

LANDIKOTAL: Drivers and other crew members mysteriously disappeared and left  five loaded container trucks at Torkham parking lot, official sources said on Monday.o
The sources said that five containers loaded with the construction materials had reached from Karachi three days ago.The drivers and their helpers had been disappeared since last three days ago after they were issued customs and other clearence certificates,customs sources in Torkham said. However, he said the drivers reportedly not coming to drive the trucks due to fear of being attacked.Political administration has arrested employee of the Torkham based Razaq Logistic Company and warrant of arrest had been issued to arrest the disappeared drivers reportedly,sources said.It said that drivers of the trucks carrying Nato consignments came under several attacks both in Afghanistan and in Khyber Agency as they avoid to drive trucks in such places.To include comments in this regard political agent Khyber Agency Mutahir Zeb and assistant political agent Dr Azmat Wazir were approached by phone and short messages but they didn't replied.
Meanwhile, During last few weeks at least 180 trucks have shifted Nato and US military equipments from Afghanistan via Khyber Agency to Karachi,sources said.
