Nato supplier shot dead in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL:  A driver was killed on the spot and his crew member sustained injuries when unknown persons attacked the Nato containers near Sur Kamar area of Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency, local and official sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that two Nato containers were on their way to Afghanistan were ambushed near Sur Kamar area of Jamrud tehsil. The driver killed was identified as Attaullah, resident of Badhber, Peshawar and Zafar Shinwari, resident of Landikotal was injured in the attack. He was rushed to Peshawar hospital, the sources said.
   “Several masked men with automatic guns erupted on the roadside in sur Kamar and opened indiscriminate firing over the containers carrying Nato and US consignment to Afghanistan”, an eyewitness told this scribe on phone pleading anonymity. However, the official sources said that militants attacked the convoy around 11 am and killed one person and leaving another injured.
It may be mentioned here that it was the first attack at the Nato trucks carried out after the restoration of Nato supplies to Afghanistan after eight months.
