Arms and ammunition seized at Torkham border


LANDIKOTAL:  A huge quantity of the arms and ammunitions seized at Torkham border, border officials said on Saturday.
The Khasadar sources at Torkham border said that during routine checking they have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from the hidden cavities of the truck. The truck (P-1425) was carrying Afghan families back to Afghanistan from Peshawar.
 The contraband recovered from the truck were rounds 564 of 30-bore pestle, R-SMG rounds, 65,32- bore rounds 565, two wireless sets, two IEDs remote control, four bomb batteries, six magazines’ jackets,   two wireless antenna.
Three persons identified as  Nangyalay, Abdur Rehman and Habibullah, residents of Afghanistan were arrested and sent them to Landikotal lock up, the sources said.
