JUI leader laid to rest in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: The Jamiat Ulema Islam senior leader and Ameer of Landikotal chapter who was killed in Peshawar laid to rest in Landikotal on Thursday.

A large number of JUF-F leaders and workers besides officials and members of civil society members offered the funeral prayer of the Haji Gul Rehman Afridi in Khyber area of Landikotal. when the coffin of late Gul Rehman was brought for final ceremony people broke into tears and chanted slogans against the killers. They asked the government to arrest the killers and punish them as deceased had no enmity with anyone.
Meanwhile, scores of Kukikhel tribesmen protest demonstration on Jamrud-Mulagori road at Chota Nehar. They chanted anti-PDA slogans. They were of the view that if the construction work was not stopped at their land attached to the Regi Model Town they will be compelled to forcefully stop it. It may be added here that when the Regi Model Town was launched some seven years ago the Kukikhel tribe had made their complaint over the piece of land included in the township by PDA which the tribesmen claiming ownership of it.
