LANDIKOTAL: Unidentified militants blew up the Bacha Khan Foundation School with explosives devices in Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency late Thursday night, local residents said.

Khial Muhammad, watchman of the school, told The News that he was having meals when around 20 gunmen forced their entry into the school and dragged him out. He said the armed men fixed three explosive devices inside the classrooms and caused explosions using a remote-controlled device.

“Three explosions occurred one after the other. The blasts destroyed seven rooms including the school principal’s office and the computer laboratories,” he added.
The militants didn’t harm the watchman and fled the scene. Hatim Khan who is living near the school told this scribe that all the windowpanes and doors of his house and other houses nearby were broken due to impact of the explosions.
