LANDIKOTAL: Officials visited the Landikotal lock up and issued orders of releasing 14 prisoners on Thursday.
Assistant political agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad accompanied by tehslidar Shamsul Islam paid surprise visit to Landikotal jail situated inside the administrarion official compound. They heard prisoners problems and checked their living standerds inside the lock up.
Niaz Muhammad directed the officials responsible to ensure best quality of foods and living facilities to the inmates.He heard several cases inside the jail and released 14 prisoners on the spot.
Talking to The News Niaz Muhammad and Shamsul Islam said they released those who had been arrested on petty charges.He said in the honor of the holy month of Ramazan and Eid ahead they released the detainees.
Shamsul Islam said they had 10 inmates remaining in the lock up who would also soon be releaded after their cases get resolved.
